lethe - the scent of forgetting
A house is empty now.
Doors half closed.
Mist between the fragments.
Only the feeling remains.
In Greek mythology, Lethe was one of the rivers of the underworld. The name is derived from the Greek word lēthē, meaning “oblivion” or “forgetting. To drink from its waters was to lose all memory, not in violence, but in quiet release. A gentle dissolution of the past, where forgetting becomes distance. The slow movement of water, between absence and clarity. A fading without grief.
